Location Portraits

Welcome to our location portrait gallery.
After many years of working within a studio environment, location work has truly become a breath of fresh air. It's one of our specialties and we guarantee that you'll have a good time too. The white sandy beaches of North Carolina's beaches ensure that you'll have one of the world’s most beautiful backdrops for a location portrait you will cherish for many years to come. For our visiting guests we can provide your proofs the very same day that we shoot and once you've made your selections we can complete your order within 48.

Beach portraits are best shot around the time of sunrise or sunset to achieve a nice soft light. This also helps to keep you from squinting and fill in any unwanted lines we've earn throughout life. If we're blessed with an overcast sky, any time would be fine, but we never know when those perfect days are going to happen. Should your schedule require we shoot in brighter sunlight we can position you with the sun at your back and use controlled lighting for that just right shot.

Clothing should be kept simple for these wonderful portraits. Small logos on shirts are not a problem as all images are taken into the computer for retouching and enhancements. Try to keep the contrast down between the tops and bottoms. We really want the contrast to fall between the faces, clothes and background. Don't be shy about asking us about your choice for clothing.

One final note on beach portraits, because of their neutral color scheme this will make it much easier to work inside almost any decor. Most of our customers fall so in love with what we do that these portraits become a major element in their home. This is achieved by making your portraits the right size to be seen from anywhere in the room and to make sure it fits the space where you wish for it to be displayed.

Bell Photography would like to invite you to join our extended family of satisfied customers from all over the country who have come here to enjoy the beauty found along our Crystal Coast of North Carolina.
